Practical completion inspection app

Your PCI defects list, pinned to the plan

Photograph each defect, tap where it is on the floor plan and send the builder a PDF defects report before you leave. For homeowners, building inspectors, builders and site supervisors.

Defects pinned on a floor plan in SIAPP
How it works

One walk-through. One clear defects list.

A builder cannot argue with a photo, a note and a pin on the plan.

01

Photograph the defect

Choose "Issue", add a short note (or dictate it), and the date, time and GPS are recorded with the photo.

02

Pin it to the floor plan

Upload the plan from your contract (PDF or photo) and tap where the defect is. Defects show as red pins, room by room.

03

Send the defects report

One tap builds a PDF with a photo, note and plan extract for every defect. Share it with the builder as a file or a link.

Who uses it

Made for the walk-through, not the desk

PCI day is busy: a supervisor waiting, a long list and not much time. SIAPP keeps every defect in one place with the evidence attached, so the report is done when the walk is.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a practical completion inspection (PCI)?
It is the walk-through before the builder hands the home over, where you list every defect the builder must fix. What is on that list, and how clearly it is described, decides what gets fixed.
How does SIAPP help with a PCI?
You walk room by room, photograph each defect, tap where it is on the floor plan and add a note. At the end you have a PDF defects report with a photo, a note and a plan location for every item, ready to send to the builder.
Can I use a checklist during the inspection?
Yes. From the Solo plan you can run built-in inspection checklists with Pass / Fail answers and photos on any item, and from Professional you can build your own templates. You can also start from our free room-by-room checklist.
Can I check the defects were fixed at handover?
Yes. Keep the same project and plan, and from the Professional plan turn each defect into a task with before and after photos, so the re-inspection shows exactly what was closed out.
How much does it cost?
The free plan is permanent: 2 projects, 50 photos per project and 1 GB — no card, no trial clock. Paid plans start at $14 a month for Solo, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial in the store.
Does it work without reception?
Yes. New homes often have no Wi-Fi and weak reception, so photos and notes are saved on the phone and upload later on their own.

Take it to your PCI

Install it, upload your floor plan and pin the first defect. It takes about two minutes.
