What each column is for

| Priority | High for safety or watertightness, Medium for function, Low for cosmetic. |
| Photo ref | The file name or number of the photo that proves it. |
| Assigned to / Due date | A named person and a date, or it will not get done. |
| Status | Open, Fixed (by the trade), Verified (by you). Only Verified closes it. |

Common questions
Is the snag list template really free?
Yes. It is a plain CSV file with no sign-up. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice, and you can change the columns however you like.
What columns should a snag list have?
At minimum: a reference number, location, description, the trade responsible, priority, who it is assigned to, a due date and a status. A photo reference is what turns the list from a claim into evidence.
Is a snag list the same as a punch list?
Yes. "Snag list" is the UK, Irish and Australian term, "punch list" is the American one. The template works for both.
Why use an app instead of a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet cannot hold the photo, and the location column is only as good as whoever typed it. In SIAPP each snag is a photo pinned on the floor plan, and the PDF report is built for you. The free plan is permanent: 2 projects, 50 photos per project and 1 GB — no card, no trial clock.
